Two 15.6-inch ZenScreens, two different connection plans

MB16ACV and MB16AHG share a size and resolution, but a gaming signal and a reference window can lead to different choices.

What would the second screen show?

A portable reference window beside a drawing application and a screen for a supported high-refresh game signal are different assignments. Write the actual assignment beside the model number. Both ASUS specification pages list 15.6-inch, 1920×1080 displays, so those two headline properties alone cannot settle the choice. The port route and the useful refresh mode are where this pair becomes more informative.

The ACV row

The US MB16ACV table lists one USB-C port with DP Alt Mode and USB 3.2, and a maximum 60Hz refresh rate. For a supported computer route and a reference or document task that fits those limits, this remains a coherent candidate. Do not add a Mini HDMI input from a photograph of another ZenScreen. The suffix is part of the specification.

The AHG row

The UK MB16AHG table lists two DP Alt Mode USB-C ports, one Mini HDMI input and a maximum 144Hz rate. It specifies 60–144Hz digital signal ranges for HDMI and USB-C. Those documented differences can matter to a gaming route. They do not mean the connected host or game will automatically produce 144 frames per second, or that every adapter preserves the required signal.

Choose the complete mode

For the intended host, record the actual video output and the chosen monitor input, then check the supported resolution-and-refresh combination. A USB-C charging socket does not establish DP Alt Mode video. If the useful route is HDMI, confirm the correct Mini HDMI cable arrangement and the monitor’s power instructions. The presence of another port is a reason to investigate a route, not a promise that no other setup steps exist.

Sound is a separate line

Both specification pages say there are no speakers; AHG additionally lists an earphone jack. Decide where the session’s audio will go rather than expecting the display to replace a sound device. A person using existing headphones may already have the answer. This practical difference is easy to miss when the shortlist has been reduced to screen size and the largest refresh figure.

Where each model makes sense

ACV deserves consideration when its documented USB route and 60Hz ceiling fit the second-screen task. AHG is more relevant when its additional input or a supported higher-refresh mode answers a named need. These are US and UK specification records, so verify the actual regional unit and package before choosing. Save the full suffix with the host plan; a note saying only ZenScreen 15.6 leaves the central decision unresolved.
