Release a creature

Thunderfang Dragon of Chaos 71832 includes a dragon chained to a small side build. LEGO describes releasing it with two prismatic blade accessories. That gives the set a situation to begin from: the creature is restrained, and a player can change that state. It is a useful choice for someone who likes arranging a small confrontation with characters and an object to unlock, rather than only changing a dragon’s pose.

Or make the dragon move

Arc Dragon of Focus 71836 takes a different route. It is the two-headed model, with large foil wings moved by a lever on its back. A chest shooter and spinner vehicle add other actions. For someone whose first interest is making the creature visibly perform, that wing mechanism may be more relevant than Thunderfang’s release scene. “Dragon set” is therefore too broad a request to decide between them.

The supporting cast also changes

Thunderfang lists six minifigures and 8+ guidance; Arc lists eight and 9+. Treat those as the maker’s contents and age guidance, not a rule that more characters automatically make a better purchase. A fan wanting particular Season 3 characters should compare the actual names, while a builder mainly interested in one mechanism can let that action lead. A release sequence and a flapping display are different pleasures; neither needs to win an overall ranking.
