A meeting can be the main attraction
Choose this Rivendell for the moment you want to revisit. If your favourite memory is the Fellowship gathering, the Council offers a clearer personal reason than wanting the largest available fantasy building. LEGO’s own description identifies the Council of Elrond as a section that can lift off the main model. A character scene can therefore remain the focus instead of becoming a small detail hidden beneath the roofline.
The surrounding place still matters
The 6,167-piece adult set also includes Frodo’s bedroom, Elrond’s study and fifteen minifigures. These are reasons to enjoy a place populated by particular people rather than an anonymous façade. The full model divides into the tower, Council ring, and gazebo with river and bridge. That structure suits someone interested in both architecture and moments from the films; it is a larger commitment than a ready-made single-scene ornament.
A separate section is not a smaller product
Removing the Council after building does not mean a Council-only kit is included as an independent purchase. The official instructions index still identifies the whole 2023 set and three instruction volumes. If the only appealing element is a tiny meeting circle, consider whether you also want to assemble and keep the surrounding architecture. The ability to separate sections helps presentation, but does not remove the rest of the project.
Give the whole scene a deliberate home
The current UK record gives more than 39 cm in height, 72 cm in width and 50 cm in depth for the full arrangement. Those dimensions explain why this is a scene-led centrepiece, not an ordinary narrow-shelf extra. Choose it when the place and the people both appeal, and decide whether your everyday view should show the whole valley or bring the Council forward. That is a more useful display intention than filling every nearby gap with another figure.
