A handheld does not bring every library with it
The useful first question is the game you want to return to, not which screen looks more like a small console. A game installed on your PS5, a title eligible for PlayStation cloud streaming and a PC game accessed through another service are different starting points. PS Portal is the more direct candidate for a deliberately PS5-centred plan. Logitech G Cloud is worth considering when choosing among several documented service or host routes is part of what you want from the device.
Portal now needs two separate descriptions
For Remote Play, Sony describes compatible games installed on a paired PS5. That console must be online and powered on or in Rest Mode. Remote Play itself does not require a PlayStation Plus membership, although a game’s online multiplayer can still require one. This route makes sense when the television is occupied and the PS5 is already the machine you intend to use.
Portal’s cloud route is different. The current US pages allow eligible adult accounts with PlayStation Plus Premium to stream selected PS5 titles, including eligible digital-library games. The PS5 can be off or used by another account. That can be the attraction for a person who specifically wants this catalogue without relying on the home console’s current session. It does not extend to every owned game, or to PS4 and PS3 games on Portal. The intended country and particular title remain part of the purchase decision.
G Cloud is a choice of routes, not one subscription
Logitech lists services such as GeForce NOW and Xbox Game Pass, with cloud subscriptions sold separately. It also describes remote play from PCs and consoles and local Google Play games. That wider invitation suits someone whose interests cross those libraries and who is willing to choose the relevant application and service arrangement.
It is less compelling if the expectation is that one device purchase automatically grants every named service or makes every PC title streamable. The manufacturer’s list is a place to investigate the specific route, not a combined entitlement. In particular, a listed PS5 remote route is not proof that its application and controls are identical to Portal’s dedicated experience.
Pick the machine that serves the next session
Choose Portal for its documented PS5 routes and its integrated PlayStation control proposition, keeping the game-supported limits on haptics and adaptive triggers. Prefer investigating G Cloud when its mixture of services and host streaming is the point. Local Google Play software is another activity; it does not mean local installation of the PC or PS5 edition. A clear choice names the game, where it runs and how this handheld reaches it. Screen size can then refine that choice instead of concealing an unresolved library mismatch.
