The appeal can be the routine
Pendulum COLOR 1 Nature Spirits is worth considering when raising the creature is the central attraction. Its US manual describes care alongside training and battles that use shaking inputs. That links the small physical object to repeated decisions about its creature, rather than making the colour screen the whole reason to choose it.
The manual also describes a cold state that pauses development and a backup function. Those are relevant details for someone deciding how the routine belongs in their day. They do not establish an exact care-time commitment or guarantee that every other Digimon device can connect to this one.
The other device gives you an adventure to move through
The Japanese Digivice -25th COLOR EVOLUTION- manual starts from choosing a partner and describes progressing through game-step quotas, battles and events. If your main wish is to accompany that partner through the adventure, this structure has a more direct appeal than selecting a device simply because it resembles a digital pet.
One surprisingly important boundary is the step display. The manual explains that it represents the Digimon’s movement, not a measurement of the wearer’s actual steps. Buying it as an exercise tracker would therefore be choosing it for the wrong purpose.
Pick a relationship, then the exact version
Choose the Pendulum when care and shake-command training sound like the activity you want to return to. Choose the Digivice when the chosen partner and event progression are the draw. This is a comparison of those documented emphases, not a claim that either device contains none of the other’s ideas.
The comparison uses the US Nature Spirits manual and the Japanese standard Digivice. An English manual for one does not establish an English interface for the other. Likewise, the artbook and tag described with the Digivice DX set should not be assumed to come with its standard device.
