Peanuts Every Sunday: the 2025 paperback changes the format, not the years on the cover

The 1952–1955 Sunday collection has two identified physical editions. A newer date and a higher page count are not, by themselves, extra years of Snoopy.

A new edition can be a new way to read

The 2025 paperback of Peanuts Every Sunday 1952–1955 is worth considering when the wish is to read those early colour Sunday pages in a softcover. Fantagraphics describes restored and recoloured pages, in a 12×8.8-inch format. The older hardcover is listed at 13.3×9.7 inches. A reader who already owns the hardback is therefore looking at another physical presentation of the named period, not automatically the next instalment.

The page-count difference does not settle the contents

The current publisher records list 288 pages for paperback ISBN 9798875001406 and 224 for hardcover ISBN 9781606996928. Both descriptions, however, identify the 1952–1955 Sunday period. That difference in pagination is not sufficient evidence that the paperback supplies 64 additional Sunday strips. A higher page count can look like a simple upgrade while leaving the question the existing owner actually cares about unanswered.

Choose the second copy for a different job

A second edition can still make sense: perhaps one copy belongs in a collection and another is intended for regular reading, or the recipient explicitly prefers the smaller softcover. That is a purpose for a duplicate period. For someone seeking later episodes, it is a weak reason to buy this first volume again; the next decision should be another documented date range.

Keep the pleasure of the Sunday page

This is a colour Sunday collection, so its attraction can be spending time with a larger composed page rather than collecting every weekday in sequence. Choose the paperback because that reading form belongs in your routine. If the hardback already provides the experience you want, keeping it and moving to a different period is also a complete decision.
