MODEROID Escaflowne: build the knight, then choose its cape

The supplied alternatives are the point

Good Smile’s MODEROID Escaflowne is a non-scale, approximately 140 mm model kit from The Vision of Escaflowne. Its description pairs articulated joints with a sword that can be held in both hands. More unusually, the box includes both a plastic cape and a nonwoven-fabric cape. For a fan interested in arranging the knight rather than only recognising its name, that gives a concrete presentation choice within one build.

A partly finished kit still asks you to make something

The exact product identifies translucent Energists on the shoulders and chest, plus pre-painted head and chest emblems. MODEROID’s series explanation also distinguishes coloured runners and selected pre-painted parts from optional further painting. That is a useful middle ground for someone attracted to constructing an articulated character. It is not the delivered state of a completely painted statue: the official photos themselves identify painted finished examples. Choose this Escaflowne because assembly and the two cape treatments are welcome parts of owning it. If the intended pleasure begins only with an already finished sculpture, start with that requirement instead.
