The character came from the bricks
StarWars.com’s creator interview traces Jedi Bob to an unnamed Jedi in a 2002 Republic Gunship set. Fans supplied the name, and Rebuild the Galaxy later made him part of its animated remix. That history gives 75388 a specific appeal for someone who enjoys LEGO’s conversation with Star Wars, rather than only exact recreations of a favourite main-film vehicle. The unusual name is part of the reason to choose it, not a detail to overlook.
A small ship with a playful brief
LEGO lists Jedi Bob and an Ackbar Trooper as the two minifigures, with a separate Servo SR-V0 droid figure. The starfighter has an opening cockpit, retractable landing gear and a storage compartment for the blue-milk carton and banana elements. Those details point toward handling and small invented situations. They make more sense for a fan happy to play along with the remix than for someone expecting a single solemn display scene.
Know which part of the galaxy the recipient enjoys
Ask whether the person likes this alternate-story humour or wants a vehicle from a particular film. Both are legitimate interests. If Jedi Bob’s origin and the idea of a rearranged galaxy make them smile, the named set has a reason beyond its piece count. If their collection has a strict film-scene brief, another subject may be a more thoughtful match.
