A creature you want to bring home
The Talking Grub is a particularly direct sort of game keepsake: the creature is no longer only something encountered on a screen. Fangamer credits the prototype to Saber Murphy and Eyes5 and lists a height of about ten inches. The Japan record gives roughly 25.4 cm total length. Those records identify a substantial small companion rather than a keychain with a similar character name.
Its response is part of the appeal
The US description says squeezing produces six different sounds; the Japan detail table clarifies that pressing the belly randomly plays one of the six patterns. That randomness suits someone who enjoys a brief, playful response from a familiar creature. It does not provide six selectable buttons or a way to request one favourite recording. A person who wants a completely silent desk companion has a good reason to choose another form of keepsake.
A specific fan gift, with an equally specific audience
Fangamer recommends the collector plush for ages twelve and over. For an older Hollow Knight fan, the useful question is whether they like the Grub and would enjoy its sound interaction where they plan to keep it. Avoid choosing solely because the character looks gentle: the product record does not make it a universal infant gift. If the answer is an enthusiastic yes to both creature and response, the sound feature adds a reason that a flat picture or ordinary pin cannot supply.
