Balatro Red or Ghost: which four Jokers do you actually want?

Both are fixed 52-card playing decks with four extra named Jokers. The relevant comparison begins with Blueprint and Gros Michel versus Seance and the Ghost selection.

Ask for the card by name

If Blueprint is the Balatro card you want to keep as an object, Fangamer’s original playing deck has a concrete answer: its four added Jokers are Joker, Juggler, Blueprint and Gros Michel. The ordinary deck contains 52 standard playing cards using LocalThunk’s game designs. This is a fixed selection, not a random pack in which that named Joker might or might not appear.

Ghost is another selection, not the missing half of the first

Ghost also supplies 52 standard cards, but its four Jokers are Seance, Mr. Bones, Sixth Sense and Castle. A person who particularly wants one of those names has a different reason to choose it. The second package is not required to complete the first deck for an ordinary playing-card activity.

That makes an unusually precise gift question possible: is the memory attached to Blueprint or Gros Michel, or is the requested set the Ghost group? A recipient can answer with a specific card they care about instead of being asked to prefer an abstract premium edition.

Keep the print description attached to its own deck

The original product page describes a linen finish and silver-foil accents on the tuck box. The Ghost page explicitly names United States Playing Card Company printing. The first page does not establish that printer for the original, so the name should not migrate across merely because both are sold by Fangamer. Those records also do not supply a physical handling comparison from which to rank the two.

A physical Joker is a keepsake, not a software power

The Ghost description even jokes that the deck will not make Spectral cards appear in the game’s shop. The useful boundary is simple: the physical set brings a fixed group of designs to the table, not the effects of a software run. Choose the named selection you want to revisit. If both sets appeal, the reason can be the two different groups of images, without inventing a gameplay advantage to make the extra purchase sound necessary.
