A familiar opening can be enough
For someone who immediately thinks of UNDERTALE when this melody begins, a small music box can carry a very precise reference. Fangamer identifies this object as the Once Upon a Time music box in the UNDERTALE × SQUARE ENIX project. Its announcement distinguishes it from the Snowdin Town version. Choose the tune the person actually wants to revisit; two objects from the same game need not mean the same thing to them.
The hand movement is part of the present
The product is described as hand-cranked, at about 2.36 inches wide, 1.97 deep and 1.57 tall. That invites a brief physical interaction with a melody. It is a specific attraction for a person who likes small musical objects, rather than a reason to expect a complete soundtrack, automatic background listening or the original recording’s instrumentation.
Ask about that gesture as naturally as you would ask about the song. Someone who wants to turn a familiar melody themselves has a clear reason to consider it. Someone asking to listen through the score is asking for a different musical experience. The modest size does not make this version a miniature replacement for an album.
Keep the locket in its own story
The creator’s FAQ separately discusses the music-box locket included with the Collector’s Edition. That locket and this named hand-cranked box should remain distinct when someone shares a saved photograph or wish. A note naming the chosen melody can make the gift personal without pretending the two products are interchangeable. The strongest reason to choose this small box is simple: this particular tune, and the pleasure of setting it in motion.
