The motor is one documented included part
Tamiya's 58347 Lunch Box is an assembly kit, not a statement that a vehicle in a particular opened box is ready to drive. The official manual identifies an included 540-type motor. The product record separately describes the CW-01 chassis and rear-wheel-drive model. A body photograph cannot replace checking those actual contents.
A missing battery is not automatically a missing kit component
The manual's cover says a 7.2 V running battery is required and not included, and recommends a two-channel Tamiya EXPEC radio system. Therefore, ‘no running battery in the box’ and ‘the supplied motor is missing’ describe different situations. Do not combine them into one vague verdict that the original kit is incomplete.
The reverse matters too. The presence of the 540 motor does not establish that the owner has the necessary control and battery equipment. A seller may have added equipment to a bundle; those additions need their own itemised description rather than being assumed from the base kit name.
Describe the current copy in three lines
First identify 58347 and the manual used for comparison. Then list the inspected kit components and unresolved omissions. Finally list any separately supplied running equipment and whether the model is assembled. This separates a parts inventory from an operating-condition claim.
A repacked box can hold a new project, a partly built chassis or a completed vehicle with additional equipment. ‘Opened Lunch Box’ does not tell the next collector which of those they are discussing. A specific description does, without needing to invent a test run or infer electrical compatibility from appearance.
