Read what washable describes
On POSCA’s PC-5M page, washable appears with the reversible tip. That describes the marker component; it does not certify that a decorated costume or bag can follow every wash cycle used before the drawing was added. POSCA links separate guidance for fabric and textiles precisely because the finished surface is another question.
Everyday clothing and a special costume ask different things
POSCA’s fabric FAQ recommends inside-out, low-temperature washing to help conserve a customisation. A person happy with that care arrangement may find the medium-tip marker worth considering for a planned textile design. Someone who needs the garment to keep its existing, unrestricted routine needs a more specific answer from the person producing the decoration.
A seller’s statement that paint is permanent does not supply a wash-count guarantee. POSCA’s material guidance also says absorption and the number of coats needed vary. A sketch of the intended motif is not enough to establish the final result on a particular fabric.
Ask about the complete article
A costume can combine cloth, artificial leather and other surfaces. POSCA’s guide distinguishes their preparation and makes fixation advice depend on the material. Do not treat one textile paragraph as an instruction covering every component of a finished outfit. Before buying a decorated item or commissioning the work, ask for care guidance that addresses the actual combination.
Choose the customisation when that care is compatible with how the object will be used. If the recipient expects a frequent-wash everyday garment, that expectation belongs in the decision before the drawing is made, alongside the design itself.
