The included grip may already do your job
Nintendo includes a Joy-Con 2 grip with Switch 2. BEE-009 brings the two controllers into a conventional two-handed arrangement, but does not charge them. If you are happy to return the controllers to an AC-connected console between sessions, that limitation may never become a buying problem. The supplied accessory is doing its stated job.
What BEE-010 changes
The separately sold Charging Grip lets you keep playing while charging. Nintendo supplies its USB-C charging cable and documents a route through the Switch 2 dock or the console’s named AC adapter. This is useful when you want the same two Joy-Con 2 to remain in your hands rather than return to the console for charging. It is a clearer reason to choose the accessory than treating every included grip as an unfinished purchase.
There is another specific attraction: GL/GR buttons that can be custom mapped. A player who actually wants a frequently used input under a rear finger has a reason to explore that arrangement. Two mapped buttons do not, by themselves, establish faster play or a better fit for every hand.
Choose the routine you intend to keep
Keep the included grip when holding the controllers together is enough and console-attached charging suits your routine. Consider BEE-010 when charging during that held-controller session or using GL/GR is the purpose. Name Joy-Con 2 when choosing the accessory: a familiar “charging grip” label should not erase the controller generation.
