Follow the connection back to the outlet

STRIMSÄV LED spotlight 005.653.72 is worth considering for a display whose awkward feature is cable routing. IKEA's dated product notes describe gel-pad mounting and supplied cable clips and driver. Those items make the electrical route part of the composition: decide where the driver can sit and which edge can carry the cable before settling the light's position.

A side that looks balanced from the sofa may leave the connection exposed from a doorway. Sketch both views and leave access to the driver. Included clips do not establish that every surface accepts them or that the gel pad suits a particular cabinet finish.

A tidy route still needs a suitable object

The Canadian Conservation Institute identifies light and heat as deterioration factors for plastics and rubbers. A discreet installation therefore cannot stand in for a materials assessment. This pick suits someone willing to plan the whole connection and investigate the object's sensitivities; it does not provide a universal separation distance or a preservation-approved lighting recipe.
